Why Trekking in Nepal Inmortant?


Just as New York is not representative of the USA, so Kathmandu is not representative of Nepal as well. Therefore; if you have time and energy to trek, don’t miss the golden opportunity to leave Kathmandu and see the spectacular beauty and the unique culture of Nepal. Nepal is one of the most beautiful country imaginative dreamlands within Asia and home to the world’s highest mountain known as Mt. Everest 8848mt. Fortunately for the visitor there are still only a few roads extending deeply into the hills, so the only way to truly visit the remote region of to Kingdom is in the slowest and most intimate manner. Walking-it requires have time and efforts, but the rewards are also greater instead of zipping down a freeway, reaching to the next “point” of more interest each step provides new an fascinating   view points. You will perceive your day as an entity rather than a few highlight strung together by a ribbon of concrete. For the romanticist, each step follows the footsteps of Hillary, Tenzing and other adventure Himalayan explores.

Trekking in Nepal will take you through a country that has captured the imagination of adventure mountaineers and explores for more than 100 years. You will meet people in remote mountain and hillside villagers whose lifestyle has not changed in generations.

Many of the value associated with a hiking trip at back home do not have the same importance during travel/treks in Nepal. Isolation is traditionally a crucial element of any wilderness experience, but in Nepal it is not possible to get completely away from people except for short times or at extremely high elevations. Environmental concerns must include the efforts of conservation measures on rural people and the economic of tourism on indigenous population.

Trekking does not mean mountain climbing but trekking always refers to walking on trails and enjoys scenery. While trekking you will see the great diversity of Nepal village embrace many ethnic groups and cultures. The terrain changes from tropical jungle to high glaciated peaks in the space of only 150km from the start, the towering peaks of the Himalaya provide one of the highest of the treks.

The beauty and attraction of the Nepal Himalaya emanates not only from the mountains themselves, but also from their surroundings. Nepal is a country of friendly people, picturesque villages and a great variety of rich cultures and traditions that seems to exemplify many of the attributes. We have lost in our headlong rush for development and progress in the west.

So, if anybody visit in Nepal without trekking the journey is not complete!!!!

The first trekker in Nepal was Bill Tilman, who somehow wrangled permission from the Maharaja in 1949 to make several treks, including Kaligandaki- Annapurna region, Helambu & Mt. Everest region. His exploit are described I Nepal Himalaya, a mountaineering classic that has been reprinted by the Seattle mountaineers as part of Tilman collection.

Another early visitor was Maurice Herzog, who lead a French expedition to Annapurna in 1950.

During King Tribhivan’s visits to India, the King met Boris Lissannivich, a Russian ballet dancer who was running a club in Calcutta. Boris convinced to King that people would like to visit Nepal would actually pay for the experience. Soon few- helled ladies flew from Patna to Kathmandu airport in an Indian airline Dakota. Boris accommodated them in his new establishment, the Royal Hotel. The women were charmed by Boris and the exotic kingdom of Nepal. Thus Nepali tourism was born!

Colonel James OM Roberts was the first person to realize that trekking would be appeal to tourists. Jimmy Roberts had spend years in Nepal attached to the British residency and accompanied Timan on his first trek. 1n 1965 he took a group of ladies up the Kaligandaki in Annapurna region and founded Mountain Travel, the first of Nepal’s trekking companies and the inspiration for the adventure travel industry!
