Stories from past participants
All is fine and well for me. Everyone asks how I am, settling in, but I don’t think I have ever settled at any time, on any level let alone now. My heart is in Nepal and I realist that my commitment to the children in the school, the hostel and the ones I was in touch with in the local community, made a difference. Every one of their shining faces and beautiful hearts and the memories of all of that was shared are part of my very being. I finally feel a little like I know who I am because of it.

Thanks you for providing the opportunity to people who want so much to do volunteer work for the various reasons people do. It really is the desire to experience the experience, a matter of the heart rather than only the choice of vocation that can fill people hearts and bring humanity a little closer. Your program does not require qualifications and in setting it up from here, does give people the inspirations, the faith in themselves to do it.

I give all my heart. I learned to stand strong in who I am and really believe in my self and what I defended and why. What I did during my placement n the scale of every thing feels small, but I also understand that any matter of the heart is opposite. We are all fabulous individuals on this planet and just by being who we can bring light and difference in every and any situation, anywhere, to each other and the world. 4:44:21 PM This means that in everything we do in our lives, in every moment of each day, we have the opportunity to stand in our truth, to shine.

I taught a beautiful story to a class nine girl who I tutored once a week (from her text book). It had such a simple, but powerful massage that I taught the same story to some of the children in my school-Motherland. I did not bring a copy of it, but I will explain it in short.

A man was sitting on a train, reading a newspaper, when a young pale boy ran up to him up to him and kissed him on the cheek. The boy smiled at the man with bright eyes and said” what a glorious day!” The man was taken by surprise and was about to ask why the boy would think today is any better than yesterday, when the father of the boy approached and apologized, explaining that his son has only a few days to live due to illness and wants to share his happiness of the moments he has left with whoever is around him. The man with the newspaper said there was no need to apologies.

He sat alone than as the boy and his father moved to the next carriage, the man through deeply about what had happened, why the boy was happy when he knew he was going to die. But no one really knows when they will die. His thoughts ran through how the day is for him and how today really is glorious if he wants it to be. Then the man smiled, remembering the kissed him, than he would not be thinking about his own life. The train came to a halt and as the man walked down the platform of the station, he realized that his life will somehow be different because of the kiss from the boy, but also that the boy will never know what his one moment of expression has done for another.

…The message is about the appreciation of the moment and life itself, and also realizing the positive difference we can make in any moment, just by expressing our hearts and we don’t always realize the power of that……
