Starting from Jiri,The trekking passes through parts of Solukhumbu that are relatively undeveloped compared with the northern part of the district around Namche Bazaar. The part to Kala Patthar and Mt Everest Base Camp arrive through paths of many ups and downs. Mt Everest base camp is built on a rocky glacier just near the Khumbu Ice Fall.
